The Saatchi Gallery is one of London's most visited contemporary art galleries, housed in the Duke of York's Headquarters on the King's Road in Chelsea. Founded by advertising mogul Charles Saatchi in 1985, the gallery has played a central role in bringing contemporary art to a wider audience, helping launch the careers of Damien Hirst and the Young British Artists movement in the 1990s. Today it hosts a programme of changing international exhibitions across 70,000 square feet of gallery space, with free entry to many shows.
