Kensington Palace
Kensington · High Street Kensington or Queensway tube
A working royal palace since 1689, Kensington Palace was the birthplace and childhood home of Queen Victoria and later the London home of Diana, Princess of Wales. Visitors can explore the State Rooms, Queen Victoria's apartments, and changing exhibitions. The current show, The Last Princesses of Punjab (until 8 November 2026), tells the story of Sophia Duleep Singh — Punjabi princess, suffragette, and Queen Victoria's goddaughter — through five women who shaped her life. Summer hours are daily 10:00–18:00 (last entry 17:00); from November the palace typically moves to 10:00–16:00 winter hours. Combine a visit with a walk through Kensington Gardens.
