The Design Museum is the world's leading museum devoted to contemporary design in every form, from architecture and fashion to graphics, product and industrial design. Housed in a striking 1960s modernist building that was radically transformed in 2016, the museum features a sweeping wooden roof structure over its central atrium. The permanent collection Designer Maker User is free to visit, while changing special exhibitions have covered everything from California lifestyle to the work of individual designers and architects.
